(Unlockable) Hide and Seek- This mode is played on a dark, maze-like course. The hider is the player with the Wii U Tablet, while the seekers are the players with other controller configurations. The seekers have 1:00 to find the hider. The hider has the advantage of knowing where every other player is, but the seekers have numbers on their side.
(Unlockable) I see U- The player with the Wii U Tablet is omniscient, and does not play as a character. Instead, they get an arsenal of weapons such as Bullet Bills, Bob-ombs, etc. that they can throw at the other players using the Wii U Tablet. The goal is to defeat all of the players by the end of the time limit.
Kart Customization This kart editor expands on the creator from Mario Kart 7. You start off with a basic chassis, wheels, glider, etc. but unlock more parts as you progress further into the game. The editor is a lot more flexible, letting you manually add parts as you please. You get 30 attribute points to change the advantages and disadvantages of your kart. From a flame-licked hotrod to a futuristic hovercraft, it lets you build it all. You can use these custom karts for Online Mode.
Online The online interface is a lot better than that of the Wii, obviously; the addition of voice chat has been added. Players can create a race or battle group, join one, or create a private group. Custom settings are enabled to change aspects of the race, like items and such. Players can start mini-tournaments, while Worldwide tournaments are set up every so often. The more races you win, the more notoriety points you win, so you can level up. Leveling up gives you skill points which you can use to upgrade kart skill points or unlock and buy more kart parts.

Afterwards I know this is a short project, but I just wanted to see how well I could write a hypothetical Mario Kart title while keeping it within the realm of possibilities. It'll be even more fun comparing this to the actual game, which will inevitably come out sooner or later. Hope you enjoyed reading this!
