Unlock Jr. Troopa by beating the Mushroom Cup on 100cc with Lord Crump and O'Chunks. Jr. Troopa is a lightweight. Speed: 4 Weight: 2 Jr. Troopa drives the Jr. Egg. It's half of an eggshell on wheels. The driver sits inside. Pretty simple. Speed: 4 Acceleration: 2 Weight: 1 Handling: 3 Drift: 4 Off-Road: 3 Mini-Turbo: 5 Items: 4 The Minions The Minions are playable in Minion Brawl Mode and some are playable in Mission Mode. Speed: 2 Weight: 2 Kart Color: White- and Black-Striped There aren’t any unlockable minions. Modes Ok! This is where things get exciting! As I mentioned, there are four modes: Lemmy's Land Mode, Villains Classic Mode, Minion Competition, Battle Mode, and Missions Mode. I'll give a run down of each of them, starting with Villains Classic Mode. Villains Classic Mode This is the basic mode, the kind that exists in every other Mario Kart. You start out with the Mushroom, Flower, Star, and Special Cups unlocked, with several others unlockable. -The Mushroom Cup- Grass Land: Ahh, Grass Land. It's a simple circle, with absolutely no hazards. There's nothing to see except trees... and grass. Music: Super Mario Bros. 1 Overworld Racing Remix X-Naut Fortress: Hope you didn't get too used to Grass Land! The X-Naut Fortress features sprawling halls with many sharp turns. Please refrain from crashing into wandering X-Nauts. The X-Naut Fortress also gives you a scenic view of the Moon's beautifully boring landscape every time you pass a window. Music: X-Naut Fortress Desert Land: Also known as Desert Land. Like all previous desert tracks, complete with Pokeys, quicksand, and sand that slows your kart to a crawl. Music: Gritzy Desert Racing Remix Yold Desert: Another desert?! At first, it seems like you’re going to crash into a block wall, but you’re flipped into a different dimension, allowing you to race around it! Every so often Fracktail will descend from the cars and either pick you up and move you forward, or pick you up and throw you behind. Music: Fracktail and O'Chunks Battle Medley Sub-con Field: Pretty basic for the fifth track. It's just a field in Sub-con resembling previous tracks like Donut Plains. On the final lap Fryguy appears overhead and rains fire down. Music: Super Mario Bros. 2 Overworld Racing Remix -The Flower Cup- Water Land: A nice change from the deserts! It's a circle track again, only this time there are four islands connected by rail-less bridges. Beware flying Cheep Cheeps. Music: Big Blooper Appears (SPM) The Shroob Mothership: Almost a circle! Race around the perimeter, but then get shot up an elevator! At the top, race around in a circle again, go back down the elevator, and lap around! Beware Shroob Turrets and the occasional wave of green slime. Music: Partners in Time Boss Battle Giant Land: Everything is HUGE! It's ANOTHER circle track, but this one is covered in Giant Thwomps trying to squish you, giant roaming Goombas, and giant hammers being thrown by giant Hammer Bros. from the sidelines! Music: Giant Land Map Racing Remix Mt. Lavalava: A track virtually identical to DK Mountain of Mario Kart: Double Dash. There are only two main differences, the first being the barrel cannon has been replaced with a normal canon, and the second being that the volcano is actually erupting! For the first two laps, lava seeps down the trail, but by the third, fire is falling from the sky! Music: Lava Piranha Battle Part 2 Joke's End: The track is divided into two sections. The first is level with the finish line. In the second you have to ride an air vent, coming back down to the finish line by a corkscrew staircase. Beware waves of hot soup. Music: Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga Boss Battle -The Star Cup- Sky Land: You start out on a small patch of grass, but are almost immediately blasted up into the clouds by a gust of wind. Up here, watch out for holes and flying creatures. Music: Super Mario Galaxy Flying Loop Bowser Jr's Playroom: A Baby Park-like track! It's only an oval that takes about 10 seconds per lap! Complete with all the toys a tyrant in the making could ask for! Music: Baby Park Ice Land: Combine Frappe Snowland and DK Pass and what do you get? Why, Ice Land of course! Complete with Snowmen and cliffs you really want to avoid! Music: Frappe Snowland Ice Land Style Remix. Pipe Land: This one's a simple track, in the shape of a warp pipe. What's the catch? The track is made of warp pipes, and every so often, a Piranha Plant pops up. There aren’t any rails, so if you fall off, you fall off. Music: Super Mario RPG Forest Maze Pipe Organ Remix. Waluigi Stadium 2: Waluigi's new stadium! Much like the original, only with more traps, like roving Bob-ombs and falling boulders. Music: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Waluigi Pinball Remix. -The Special Cup- Bob-omb Battle Field: This track is a long oval, with two sharp turns. The Bob-omb Buddies and the Black Bob-ombs are based on opposite sides of the track and are launching projectiles at each other, so watch out for flying objects! Music: Peach's Secret Slide Wario Coliseum 2: Wario has a new turf now too! The difference from the first one? It's now twice as long, with even more loops, jumps, and turns! It’s so large that you’ll only go around once during the race. Music: Waluigi Stadium Kamek's Castle: Kamek gets his own castle too! Think of this like the Bowser Castle from Mario Kart: Double Dash without the Thwomps, Bullet Bills, or lava. Kamek doesn’t like those things. But he does like giant roaming Shy Guys that crash your kart if you get too close to them. Music: Yoshi's Island Mini-Boss Bowser's Castle: Yet again, a Mario Kart game can't be complete without a new Bowser’s Castle! I'll let you use your imagination for this. We all know what Bowser’s Castles are like. Music: Previous Bowser Castle Medley Rainbow Road: Similar to the Rainbow Roads of Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Double Dash, only there’s a catch here. The rainbow is inversed. Why? Well, this is a game featuring the bad guys! Complete with loops, corkscrews, flips, upside downs, and all sorts of turns that you can fall off of! Music: Past Rainbow Road Medley --Unlockable Cups-- -The Hammer Cup- Unlock by unlocking Dry Bowser, Goomboss, Lakithunder, The Koopa Bros, and King Boo Dark Land: What do you get when you combine the peril of Pipe Land, Giant Land, Desert Land, and Water Land, only with all the water turned to lava? Dark Land of course! Music: Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, Bowser Battle Goomba Road: Similar to Bob-omb Battlefield, as it's a simple oval. (Also similar to Baby Park.) All you have to watch out for here is roaming Goombas and falling Goomnuts. Music: Paper Mario Goomba King Battle Thunder Mountain: Thunder Mountain is a tall mountain that is in a constant storm. The track is relatively simple, as it only consists of racing up the mountain and then back down, but going up you are hindered by puddles, rolling boulders, and lightning that shrinks you, and going down you are hindered by shrinking lightning, puddles, and quickmud, mud that sucks you underneath it if you linger too long. Music: Cool Cool Mountain Organ Remix The Koopa Bros’ Fortress: Almost an easier version of Bowser's Castle. Just watch out for breaks in the wall that send you into cages you have to back out of, and bottomless pits. Music: Koopa Bros. Battle King Boo's Mansion: King Boo has a mansion too! You start in front of the entrance, racing up the stairs, through some rooms, out a large, shattered window, through a graveyard, UNDER the mansion via the outdoor basement entrance, pop back up on the other side, and start again. Please refrain from crashing into ghosts and furniture. Music: Luigi's Mansion: Mario Kart DS and Luigi's Mansion Brawl medley -The Bean Cup- Unlock by unlocking Boom Boom, Francis, Sir Grodus, Petey Piranha, and Kamella Boom Boom's Castle: A generic castle. This one's pretty simple. Just watch out for spikes. Music: Super Mario World Castle Fort Francis: A square-shaped course, starting at the ground floor, spiraling up to the ramparts, and spiraling back down again. Don't run over any Meowmaids, now. Music: Francis Battle The Moon: Yeah, it's the moon. It's obviously a circle track, because here on the moon, your karts go so fast you can completely circle around it. Watch out for craters, comets, and Moon Clefts. Music: Lord Crump/Magnus von Grapple Battle Bianco Hills: Ah, calm Bianco Hills. What could possibly be challenging about this track? Well, the fact that goop covers about 3/7 of the track and there are Goop Piranhas everywhere, spitting goop at the racers! Music: Super Mario Sunshine Boss Battle. Kamella's Airship Fleet: A similar track to the Airship Fortress of Mario Kart DS, only the whole time is spent on airships... IN SPAAAAAACE! Music: Kamella Battle -The Fruit Cup- Unlock by unlocking Mimi, General Guy, Popple, the Crystal King, and the Smorg Merlee's Mansion: A circle track, but the catch is that you’re racing around in a spiral to the roof, where you jump off and start all over again! Beware opening doors and watchdogs. Music: Merlee's Mansion Racing Remix Shy Guy's Toybox: I should just call this the "Indoor" Cup. Anyways this, again, is similar to a Bowser’s Castle track, only it's brightly colored and toys are everywhere! Yay! But seriously, it's pretty simple. Just avoid wandering Shy Guys and bouncy balls. (Works similarly to the pinball bumpers of Waluigi Pinball.) Music: General Guy Battle Chucklehuck Woods: Starting out at a clearing in the woods, you race around the tress on one of 5 paths, converging at the Chateau de Chucklehuck. Racing through that, you find yourself back at the start. Watch out for falling Pestnuts and Chuck Guys lurking in trees, just waiting to impale you! Music: Popple Battle Crystal Palace: This track is very similar to Joke's End, only with a completely iced over floor, falling ice chunks, and mirrors that make the track seem like it goes in more then one direction. Music: Crystal King Battle The Excess Express: You’re racing on top of the Excess Express! While it seems like a simple oval track, be very careful not to fall off, because if you do, you start off even further back, because the train is moving! Music: Smorg Battle -The Syrup Cup- Unlock by unlocking Jr. Troopa, Cackletta, Tutankoopa, Count Bleck, and Dimentio Jr. Troopa's Playground: Jr. Troopa's turf, it's a figure-8 track that crosses in the middle. Avoid swinging... swings and moving Koopas. Music: Paper Mario 1 and 2 Mini-Boss Battle Medley Woohoo Hooniversity: Woohoo Hooniversity after Cackletta's attack. Like a Bowser’s Castle track (without lava of course!), only avoid lasers firing from the walls and ceiling, and bottomless pits, apparently dropping you into the basement. Music: Cackletta Battle Dry Dry Ruins: A race inside ruins! Cool! Avoid quicksand and wandering Chain Chomps. By the final lap, the whole place is caving in, so avoid falling... ceiling. Music: Tutankoopa Battle Castle Bleck: Yet another castle-type track. Again, similar to Bowser’s Castles, only the lava is replaced with pits of Void. It seems you’re completely indoors, but it's hard to tell when everything around you is black with some white. Music: Super Paper Mario, "Champion of Destruction" Dimension D: Your karts go 256 times faster here! Nah, not really. The track changes each lap. The first lap is a large circle, the second a large square, and the third is a large pentagon. Since each lap changes the course, it's impossible to interact with and lap a racer on a different lap. Music: Dimentio Battle -The Shine Cup- Unlock by unlocking Doopliss, Chef Torte, Smithy, the Shadow Queen, and all the previous cups The Creepy Steeple: This track is... creepy. Avoid creepy bats and creepy moving trees. All in all, very similar to Luigi's Mansion of Mario Kart DS. Which was also creepy. Music: Doopliss Battle Marrymore Chapel: Where people get married! Race straight into the chapel, out a back door, loop behind the chapel, and back again. Music: Super Mario RPG Boss Battle Smithy's Factory: I want to say this track is inside, but it's hard to tell when your surroundings are bizarre black matter. Try not to fall off the track and plummet to your doom, and avoid the minions coming off the conveyer belt. Music: Smithy's Factory Palace of Shadow: A labyrinth of a track, try not to get lost! There are many shortcuts, but many of them lead to a bottomless pit. Music: Shadow Queen Final Battle Bowser's Perfect Universe: Bowser's Universe if he succeeded in Super Mario Galaxy. The track resembles the stone walkway that you must climb to get to Bowser in said game when you encounter him. It's floating in space similar in style to Rainbow Road. You can see the original reactors in the background! This is Bowser's most vile world, so every possible thing that could hinder you is here to do just that! Music: Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser Final Battle VS Mode Villains Classic has a VS mode which works the same as all VS modes. Time Trials Villains Classic also has Time Trials, which works the same as previous Time Trial modes, complete with ghosts. Lemmy's Land Mode The mode you've been waiting for! LL Mode features many of your favorite authors in tracks based on your favorite LL sections! All cups start out unlocked. -Rainbow Cup- The Front Page: It's a basic circle around a giant billboard depicting Lemmy, with various paths in the background leading to other parts of the Land. It's under constant construction, so please, do not disturb the hard-working construction Troopas. Or the lazy ones. Music: Luigi_Ownz's Lemmy's Land Anthem The Fun Fiction Library: Race through a giant library, walled with stories of all kinds! It's a simple track in the shape of a pentagon, but books rain down from the shelf, spewing Bananas, Stars, Mushrooms, Fake Item Boxes, and other obstructions. Music: Super Mario 64 Medley The Scribble Library: The exact same course as the Fun Fiction Library. Only.... something’s wrong. Why are the books throwing themselves at you, and spewing characters who chase your kart? And why are half of the characters recolored, have multiple heads, and are holding cheese and wedding cake? Music: Mario Party, Faster Than All The CD Studio: It's a giant studio coated in records, discs, audio tapes, and other recording equipment! An easy track, except for the occasional sonic boom resulting from a recording mistake. Music: Super Mario Brothers and New Super Mario Brothers Overworld Medley The Art Museum: A peaceful museum with art by various artists on the walls. Somewhat of a labyrinth of a track, there are many shortcuts to take through halls, but avoid the tour groups! Music: Good Egg Galaxy Theme -The Star Ball Cup- Morton's School: The place where Morton teaches the basics! It's a simple track in a square shape. It's actually pretty boring. Just like a real school! Music: Desert Land Racing Remix Iggy's Casino: It's Iggy's Casino! Action everywhere! Watch out for raining coins and giant metal balls on the giant roulette. Music: Giant Land Bowser's Item Warehouse: It's a large warehouse filled with items. You race around in a simple square, but someone opened the boxes, and now items from every Mario game in existence are raining down to either help or hinder you! Music: Super Mario 64, Bowser Battle Susan's Trading Card Club: It's a small clubhouse where people play the Koopa Trading Card Game. It's a figure-eight track as you race in and around the house. Watch out for fans standing in the road to get a better view of the match. Music: Mario Kart Wii, Coconut Mall Wendy's Phonebooth: How can you race in a phonebooth?! Well, if it's supersized! Race around a phonebooth in a square, but avoid the massive crushing feet of a supersized Wendy! Music: Water Land Racing Remix -The Spiky Shell Cup- Ludwig's Quiz Palace: It's a large palace lined with books containing questions of all sorts. The track changes each lap, but the track is always clear, as it is lined with blue shelves. Take any other route and you'll be forced to start the lap over! Music: Super Mario Galaxy: Megaleg Battle Larry's Bio Library: A very similar track to the Fun Fiction and Scribble Libraries, only in this library, fan characters team up with official characters to try to spin your kart out! Beware! Music: Shy Guy's Toybox, Paper Mario Roy's Sports Hall: It's a circular track surrounding the ring where characters beat each other's brains out for a lame prize! YAY! Please avoid flying objects and attacks from the ring! Music: Sky Land Racing Remix The Photo Gallery: Similar to the Art Museum, various photos of all Mario characters dot the wall. Music: Ghostly Galaxy Little Lemmy's Land: The exact same track as The Front Page, only much, much smaller! It's this game’s Baby Park! Music: Baby Park -The Ice Cup- Lemmy's Super Koopa Hall of Fame: Another track similar to the museums, only this one has pictures of Super Koopas covering the walls. Music: Super Koopa Page Theme Lemmy's Interview Studio: A large, theater-like building where Lemmy's Interview Show takes place! Racers race around the audience, onto the stage, and back around. Music: Paper Mario Series Main Theme Medley Lemmy Circuit: Not an actual section of Lemmy's Land, but since this IS Lemmy's Land, it'll fit in. Race around a track shaped like Lemmy, similar to Yoshi Circuit. Music: Yoshi Circuit The Forums: Race around the different rooms of the forums, starting in the chatroom where many people are milling about, the videogame room where people play games, the debate room where people are debating on opposite sides, the LL room where people are discussing the rest of the Land, the Campfire Tales room where people are creating stories around a campfire, the art room where great art is in progress, the RPG room where people are roleplaying, and the question room where people are, well, asking questions! Music: Super Mario Galaxy Boss Medley Ice Road: A giant road of ice, hovering over the whole of Lemmy's Land! Think of this as a Rainbow Road type track, only much, much harder. Music: Super Mario Galaxy Medley Minion Competition Mode The Minion Competition is a whole new concept. The player first selects his or her minion of choice, and the computer chooses one as well. Four more of each are added, to make five of the two minions. Each type of minion is on a team, and they are trying to beat the other minions as a team. At the end of each race, the scores are added up from both teams for the team's total score for that game. You are able to hurt your own team members with items, so be careful! Similar to Mario Kart Wii battles, only in race form. Minion Competition takes place on any of The Villains's Mode cups. Missions In LLK, there are only 5 missions, each unlocking a new character when completed and that are more challenging than the standard conditions to unlock a character. Mission 1: Use a Bullet Bill, Boo, or Mega Mushroom a total of 15 times! Unlocks Mimi. Mission 2: As Shy Guy in Minion Competition, use a Bob-omb to blow up an enemy! Unlocks General Guy. Mission 3: As Fawful or Cackletta, come in first place on any track while using a Gold Mushroom. Unlocks Popple. Mission 4: Use a Freezie a total of 25 times! Unlocks The Crystal King. Mission 5: Race as any Paper Mario 2 characters three days in a row on the same courses and difficulty, and after the last race on the third day, you will be challenged by The Smorg on The Excess Express track. Beat it to unlock it, but if you fail, you have to wait three more days. Unlocks The Smorg. Battle Mode Battle Mode is the same as the battle mode from Mario Kart Wii. Any character is playable here except the minions. -Courses- Lemmy's Star Ball: A giant version of Lemmy's ball floating in space with similar gravity to super Mario Galaxy. Ludwig's Lab: A large lab where Ludwig conducts his experiments. Watch out for.... explosions. Roy's Sports Hall: The ring of The Sports Hall! Pretty basic. Larry's Garden: A rectangular garden filled with Piranha Plants. Watch your back, as they spring up randomly! Dark Land Field: What must have been a fertile field at one point is just a Dark Land wasteland now. Avoid all things fiery. -Retro Courses- Tart Top: MKDS Thwomp Desert: MKW Tilt-a-Kart: MKDD (NEW!: The Mario sprite raced on now looks like an 8-bit Bowser!) Double Deck: MK64 Items The items used in all modes. Items without a description act the same as in previous games. Banana Triple Bananas Green Shell Triple Green Shell Red Shell Triple Red shell Blue Spiny Shell Bowser Shell Mushroom Triple Mushroom Gold Mushroom Mega Mushroom Fake Item Box Thunderbolt Thunder Cloud POW Block Star Boo Bullet Bill Rob-omb: Because Bob-omb is a player, Rob-omb is now the item Blooper Nanny: Causes a Blooper and Blooper Babies to appear. The Babies will squirt all players except the first place player, causing the same affects as Bloopers in previous Karts, but the mom will squirt the player in first place, covering a greater area of the screen with ink Freezie: Acts like a green shell and briefly freezes whoever hits it FLUDD: Sprays an area of track behind the user that slips up whoever drives on it. Fireball: Works as Mario and Luigi's fireballs from MKDD, but only one is fired ?-Block: Swaps the items held by all racers Credits Well, that's the end of the game! Producer, creator, designer, and all that jazz: Myself, General Toad I’d like to thank my many friends from The LL Forums who supported me while writing this and offered suggestions when I ran out of ideas. You guys all know who you are! (Most of you are in the game anyways! =D) I would also like to thank many of the writers of LL who I included in this game. While many of you will never even read this, as your time as writers was long ago, thank you for making LL a great place.
