Boards
Cloudy Climb: A small, cloudy area. This place is guided by a CPU, so you don't really do anything. It is only used in Practice/Rules.

Grassy Plains: A grassy area. The host is Goomboss, and the shops are run by Goombas. ? Spaces make Bob-ombs explode, trees fall, cause landslides, or invite you to smell a flower, which gives you candy. The boss in Story Mode is Wiggler.

Luigi's Mansion: You saw this one coming. The host is Vincent Van Gore, and Ghosts run the shops. ? Spaces make the floor vanish if you're on the second or third floor, ghosts give or take candy, or there will be a blackout during which spaces are rearranged. In Story Mode, the boss is Bogmire.

Peach's Castle: Do I need to explain this? Toads own the shops, and Peach's Grandma (who is a Toad) hosts. ? Spaces will make you be chased out of the castle, have Toads give you candy, or have Koopas raid the castle for Peach, messing stuff up. The boss is the Koopa Troop.

Yoshi's Fun House: Have you ever played Mario Kart Arcade GP? Know the Fun House course? That's what this place is like. The Yoshi Elder is the host, and shops are run by Yoshis. ? Spaces make your space explode in a shower of confetti, cause Yoshi pop-ups to shoot you away, or make Shy Guys steal candy or coins- or give you some. The boss is Burt the Bashful.

Bowser's Castle: Do I have to explain this one? Boom Boom hosts, and minions own the shops. ? Spaces make you fall in the lava thus losing coins or candy, make chests give you coins or candy, or put you in the dungeon for a turn. The boss is Kamek.

Dry Dry Desert: A desert area. Pokey hosts, and Squeeks run the shops. ? Spaces make you find artifacts (coins or candy), causes Squeeks to steal coins or candy, send you into quicksand and costing you a turn, or have Tweester move you to a different space. The boss is Chain Chomp.

Waluigi Bay: A big bay. Big Bob-omb hosts, and Bob-ombs run the shop. ? Spaces make dolphins move you ahead, cannons shoot you and take something of yours away, or cause the ship you're on to collapse, costing you a turn. The boss is Gooper Blooper.

Delfino Plaza: Just like the name says. FLUDD hosts, and Piantas run the shops. ? Spaces make Piantas throw you, have you slip in sludge and lose something, or let you find a Shine Sprite, which is worth two Stars. The boss here is Shadow Mario.

Wario's Gold Mine: The course in Mario Kart Wii, Mario Party form. Thwomp and Whomp host, and Spritelings run the shops. ? Spaces make you get hit by a mine cart, take you in a mine cart to another area, or cause an avalanche. The boss is the Black Jewel.

Mario's House: I know what you're thinking: "Mario's house isn't big enough for a whole board!" Well, you are really tiny in this level, making this place bigger. ? Spaces make you find candy or coins in a mouse hole, flood the floor which stops you for a turn, or have Poochy pick you up and shake you, causing you to lose something. Eldstar hosts, and Star Spirits run the shops. (The Star Spirits made you small.) The boss is Poochy.

Unlockable
E. Gadd's Factory: A giant factory. Stuffwell hosts, and Gearmos run the shops. ? Spaces make candy or coins fall out of a machine, shoot you out of a cannon to a different space, or have Gearmos run through and knock you over, costing you coins. There is no boss because this place is unlockable and not part of the story.

The Wii: You play on Wii stuff in a white void. A disembodied voice hosts, and Miis run the shops. ? Spaces make the Wii go on or off which turns Magic Star Spaces into Shadow Star Spaces or vice versa, cause the game boxes or Wiimotes to move around, or give you candy or coins. There is no boss.

Mario Circuit: You play around Mario Circuit! Lakitu hosts, and Policemen from Mario Tennis own the shops. ? Spaces make racers hit you, allow you to find candy or coins on the ground, or drive you to the Star. There is no boss. Oh, and Shy Guys drive the karts.

WarioWare, Inc: If you have played SSBB on the WarioWare stage, you would know what this looks like. If not, I'll tell you. It has a lot of different colored blocks making the platforms, and the background is a black WarioWare elevator. ? Spaces make you have to play a WarioWare microgame, have the Sewer Guru give you something, or have Dr. Payne take you for a check-up, costing you a turn. Jimmy T. hosts, and Fronks own the shops. No boss.

PictoChat: There are a lot of spaces, but no path. Never mind. Every once in a while, the path will redraw itself. A disembodied voice hosts, and PictoChat drawings own the shops. ? Spaces make spikes, coins or candy, or a be drawn. The cage makes you lose a turn. Do I have to say it? NO BOSS!

The Waterfall: A waterfall! You have to travel up the waterfall in this board. Cranky Kong hosts, and Spear Guys own the shops. ? Spaces make barrels fall on your space and send you back to start. They also let a gondola carry you up higher- for a price... Oh yeah, they also make Ukikis steal coins or candy. Whoever gets to the top gets the Star!

Mt. Solarmoon: A tall mountain. MC Ballyhoo hosts, and Lumas own the shops. Day is three turns, and so is night. ? Spaces make boulders break open and reveal coins (Day) or a bomb, making you lose coins (Night). They also make a cannon shoot you to the top or bottom. And sometimes, the mountain will explode (maybe it's a volcano) and make you land at the Star (Night) or the start (Day).

Shadow Star's Evil Galaxy: This place is set in outer space (Rhyme!) and, as the name says, there is a lot of evil stuff. The Shaodw Star hosts, and Magiblots run the shops. ? Spaces make asteroids hit you and cost you coins or candy, incite the Shadow Star into giving you a Ztar, or suck you into a black hole, costing you a turn. The boss is the Shadow Star.

Bosses
In Story Mode, you must collect a certain amount of Stars on each board to fight the boss.

Wiggler: He will be red. Shoot his segments three times each until he is yellow.

Bogmire: He will make a bunch of clones. Defeat them all, and then hit Bogmire 3 times.

Koopa Troop: In your cannon, you must shoot 50 enemies coming at you from all sides. There are 3 rounds of 50, making 150.

Burt the Bashful: Throw eggs at him from the Egg Machine to make the blue go away. He can also jump on you. If he jumps on you three times, you're out!

Kamek: He will fly around on his broom and cast spells. Use your slingshot to hit the broom, and then hit him three times when he falls. He'll get back on, so you have to repeat two more times.

Chain Chomp: He will be tied to his post. If he hits you three times, you lose. You have to ground pound his post until he can break free.

Gooper Blooper: Ground pound his tentacles, grab them, run away, and let go. They will fly back and hit him. But don't fall off the edge!

Shadow Mario: He will run around a race area-thing. Chase him and catch him. He goes pretty fast, so beware!

Black Jewel: This is like the Bogmre fight in this game, only clones take 2 hits and he takes 10.

Poochy: When he eats you, you have to punch his uvula to get out. Then you have to run away from him.

Shadow Star: He will fly around the arena. Use the slingshot three times to hit him down. Now he turns into blackness and possesses the arena. Ground pound the arena a lot, and then he returns to normal. He goes in the middle and spins around, shooting fire. When he stops for a second, punch him! Repeat 9 more times.

Ending
The Shadow Star vanishes, and then comes back. He says that he wants to be good. He turns into a second Magic Star, and it goes to the best player: You!

The End!
